Since there is so much going on at the same time, one can easily get confused on some visual aspects that might look like it makes sense at first, but at second glance it will look out of place. Some details that might be easily overlooked, for example, the person seems to be cut open, to show what’s within, but in a way where the cutting of the flesh goes through the hair and satchel, further demonstrating how outrageous they were willing to go with this ad. Also, not only do they have a rockstar, in addition, they make sure to show this three arm guitar instrument that couldn't exist, that would go along with the opposites the creators of this ad wanted to go with. For example, being quiet is one of the main rules of a library, but Old Spice wanted to break such rules by showing instruments that obviously make loud noises. Today, most of the young adults do get hyped up over things that stand out, are out of place, or just generally new. Since it seems as though a younger crowd was targeted, new ads were created to keep the customers wanting their product. Since there may be different opinions that come from the same product, everything tends to have multiple explanations or meanings. The way Old Spice has designed their ad will have different opinions because they knew that a generation of people will look at this and like it, hate it, or at the very least, have the image imprint itself to their brain. The end goal will be to sell, so they, probably, succeeded in their plan to be remembered when people are looking to purchase a product that they offer, and for new customers to at least try their product, even if they have never tried it. Advertising has become very competitive, so since every company is competing for the same money, the company that stands out the most will, most likely, be the one that will get the better
