Ad 95 John The Apostle

Revelation was written AD 95 by John the apostle. It is known as the greatest apocalyptic literature to ever be written. Symbolic imagery is used throughout the writing for the purpose of relaying hope to those going through the struggle of persecution. The key themes are judgement, Christ return, as well as ones faithfulness to God by following that word of in everyday life. For example, god will give his judgement whether it be eternal life or eternal punishment. This is because there is good and evil in the world. The main personalities would have to be John the apostle, Peter, and Jesus Christ. John and Peter are the ones who spread the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ in the church through the letters written. Jesus Christ is the one who testimony is written on behave of. “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near” (revelation 1:3 KJV). He died 100 AD in Ephesus Turkey. His was the son of Zebedee and Salome. He also wrote the gospel of John. His life work was to offer the word of God to the people of the church and to bring those who are not close to God closer to God so that they would be on the righteous path and rewarded with eternal life during the second coming of Christ. The other characters that are associated to this book is Paul. Paul is a missionary who wanted to lead people to righteousness. He was born in Tarsus AD 5 and died AD 63 in Rome. He ministered several churches in Asia Minor and Europe. His audiences was both Jewish and Roman. John and Paul are both apostles of Jesus Christ walking the path of that is relayed by the word of God.. The way to redemption for those who have lived in sin was through the missionay and the letters that traveled from city to city.
