Acute Psychosis Case Study

The patient is a 34 year old female who presented to the ED via LEO with acute psychosis. The patient denies homicidal ideation,suicidal ideation, and symptoms of psychosis. At the time of the assessment the patient states, "I hear my boyfriend in the van out there, he killed my mother, they tried to poison last night after they kidnapped me." Patient reports depressive symptoms as tearfulness, irritability, anger, fatigue, and insomnia. The patient denies auditory and visual hallucinations. The patient gave m her mother's telephone to collect collateral information.The patient does not appear to b responding to any internal stimuli, agitated, or showing signs of aggression.
