Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)

Mia Bento, a five year old girl, was suffering from lymphoblastic leukemia cancer. When Mia first noticed that she was having foot pains for several months, her mom took her to a Pediatrician where he discovered bad results in Mia’s blood test. Mia was eventually sent to the emergency room. When she got to the emergency room, her temperature rose as soon as she got into the hospital. Mia was immediately diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia cancer. Mia then took the treatment process with little complaints. Mia spent a month in the hospital. While at the hospital she was on a steroid which had changed her life. She had a two year treatment schedule. After the month long stay, the hospital sent her home. Mia’s cancer is currently in remission. Researchers hope that one day there would be a cure so that no more kids will have to go through cancer treatments. “She's been looking forward to a day where she can ride the school bus

It has been in business since 2005. The reason Alexandra Scott had started Alex's Lemonade Stand was to raise money to help find a cure for childhood cancer (Alex’s Lemonade Stand).

Alex’s Lemonade Stands importance:
The charity is used to stop kids with childhood cancer with the help of research. They’re finding more cures every day, the program expenses is twenty million dollars. Supporters are helping to fund grants awarded to researchers who have submitted promised projects to search for more treatments for kids with childhood cancer.Alex's Lemonade Stand seeks to reach these goals with the help of research. They have funded 800 research projects that has saved the lives of kids.long term research projects.The organization tries to help kids with childhood cancer that has no treatment options left.
