Be warned there is a difference between exercise and physical activity, both proving to be an adversary to fat. Depending on the patients age, health or ability reaching a moderate or vigorous physical activity level may pose some difficulty. For those that can reach a reasonable expectation of physical activity it’s important to discuss the valuable health benefits, differential effects of various physical activity intensities. Expectations of both types of activity should be communicated clearly in order to avoid unreasonable expectations, which could result in people stopping their engagement in regular physical activity due to lack of perceived success of fat loss.
