Activity 3.2 One of the biggest challenges that I am facing at the moment is finding the right major for me. Declaring a major has a lot of benefits, for example I would only need to take the classes I need for my major which would save me time and money. As well I could start to apply to internship programs to help launch my career and future. I could also look for a good school with the right masters’ program in my field so I can work on the requirements they need for me to attend ones I graduate. Overall the worst case scenario that I see from not picking a major on time is being hold back ones I reach 45 units, this would waste time something I don’t really feel like I have a lot of. I want to find my right major and have successful college years and struggle the least possible.
Therefore, I want to find the solution through a set of steps, in where I identify the problem (declaring a major), find alternatives to it, view the positive and negatives of the alternatives. And hopefully reach a solution. Firstly, I know that I am limited to the amount of time I have to declare a major and I know that I am not just limited to changing my major one time that I have the option to change my mind a few times. I want to be sure and confident that the major I declare can help me one day lead a successful life in which I am also happy living it. But finding a major can be time consuming as well as expensive.
