Kylie has returned six weeks since the last appointment. Not surprisingly given the slightly warmer weather, Kylie’s symptoms have improved. A couple of days after I saw her her cough did increase and she commenced the Tilade inhaler. A few days later she went to Mildura for five days and with the warm weather there her cough and other upper airway symptoms settled. She has been quite well since and stopped Tilade after a couple of weeks. She never got to the point of commencing Alvesco.
A RAST assay to a panel of standard allergens plus bird mix including canaries had come back negative. Lung function test today revealed normal baseline spirometry and a negative bronchoprovocation test, arguing against the presence of any active asthma.
