Television host Dr. Phil once said, “When you chose your behavior, you chose your consequences.” Some careless people would say that your decisions want affect you. They many not affect you until a certain point, but you need to always think that they will. Riley Park is a great book to read that teaches a great lesson that apply’s to todays young people: sometimes your actions/decisions can cause long term consequences.

In Riley Park, the author uses conflict to teach that sometimes your actions/decisions can cause long term consequences. For example, when Corbin and Darius were fighting, Corbin says, “The steel bar swings again, thudding Darius…” The evidence proves that when your decisions get you in a fight and you get hit with a steel bar it can cause long term consequences. When you get in bad situations from for choices/decisions you can be hurt or killed like what happened to Darius. Additionally, when you make a decision, it can also greatly

The story deals with a death of a loved one which we all go through at one point in time. The mother of the lost one says, “You have to stay strong, Corbin.” This evidence shows that when you lose someone you can't fall and stay down. The lost one’s mother was helping lift up Corbin by telling him to stay strong. I recommend this book because it may help with losing a loved one. Additionally, this novel also states the importance of good friends. For example, Corbin was saying to oneself when he was in a fight helping Darius, “My head rockets backward and my teeth puncture my tongue.” The evidence proves that you always need a good friend. Darius was in a tough spot and Corbin was there to help him out. When you have a good friend they can help you with things that others can't or wouldn't have to opportunity to. I recommend this book because it may help you understand the importance of having a good friend. Without a doubt, this novel would be enjoyed by

By creating conflict between you and your team, there are both short and long term consequences. Some short-term consequences are that teammates are less likely to work together with you.
