For Tchic I see it a few times throughout this story. I saw it with his family, and the village members. He looked up to them and respected the elders. He loved his mother and once he got older he came back to help her when she was ill. He loved his best friend from next door, Gervais, even though he wasn’t like Tchic. He fell in love with Marielle and made it work until she had to move and even then he was trying to find options for them to be together. Even though his father wasn’t in his life until he was 9 years old he loved him and respected him. He wanted to follow in his footsteps and be the man that everyone respected and looked up to. Tchic was able to use all of his traits to survive what has been through. Being devoted to training hard leads him to survive military school, and the wars and taught him how to survive. Being a leader lets him have a group to back him up when it’s needed; when he needs to do something dangerous they trust him and will help him. Having love lets you live life for a reason. Fighting for someone or something you love makes it all worth it and shows that you can make it through
