Personal Narrative: The Mock

Improved Essays
It was hard to walk the the muck becoming in between our toes and muck getting flown through the air. “Splat!”, The muck hit my face. Dodging muck balls and getting hit with muck balls in the face. Fish swimming between our toes. Flying mud between our toes. Finding hidden treasures. Carefully taking our steps through the muck. Jumping over rocks, stepping in the sand. Especially having fun, running our feet through the mucky water. Walking through the water and having fun.

Action paragraph 1:

“Yuck! Why did you throw mud in my hair.”
We were throwing mud in each others hair / body and we were having a mud fight. My sister and I were playing in the creek (with no water shoes…) with the frogs, snakes, and fish searching for treasures in

We were playing in the creek. The game was called capture the mud. The game was like capture the flag but the flag was mud. There was a little action figure in the big stack of mud and you have to find the figure first wins. The stack of mud will be however tall you make it. I usually bury it under all the mud. My sister usually does to but oh well. She usually figures out my strategies and takes them and she doesn’t know that I come up with new ones. So I always know where she will hide the figure.

Climax: “MUD WAR.” My sister screamed out into the open. But then… Were we playing in the creek all things good until I was going to step out of the creek and a stick was right side sticking up out of the wet, mucky sand and bam half of the stick punched its way into my left foot. I hopped my way out of the creek onto a towel. And luckily my nanny Rachel was a authorized E.M.T. and she took it out with no harm done. And my other nanny and my sister Alexis didn't even know what wa going on Except my little fake OW! And it actually didn’t hurt. “No” my sister exclaimed. In slow motion mud flew through the air and almost hit my dry nanny in the face. There was still little pieces of stick in there. I still hopped back into the house and got an ice pop. And sat down in chair, hoping that the chair reclined.

I told my mom about the incident and she looked at it and thought there was something in it like little pieces of stick in my foot and there was. And then later in the night we were reading outside and she asked me to show it to her and I did and it was swelling up. So she was taking precautions and took me to the emergency room because she didn’t want it to swell up and I couldn’t walk in the morning.

Falling action paragraph 3:

We arrived at cincinnati children's on 3333 Burnet Avenue Cincinnati, OH. There were tons of people and we got in five minutes after we checked in. Which is really good for us and it was summer with all those injuries. The doctor saw some tiny pieces of wood in my foot so I got my tetanus shot right in the thigh. It stung for the next three days but then it was fine. I got a mickey mouse band aid and then I hopped back to the car with one of my shoes in my hand. And sat in the car. And went home perfectly fine.

Growing up in Brooklyn, in the early 90’s was one of the best experiences in my life. I remember the ice cream trucks, corner stores, fire hydrates being opened for the kids especially when there was a block party but most of all, the unity of families and neighbors. Many people will say “Brooklyn, only the strong survive” and I have lived by that phrase my entire life. It showed me the beauty of living in one of the boroughs that makes up New York City and has taught me to be a strong person. It’s not made for the weak.…
