Within the article "Acting Live: TV Performance, Intimacy, and Immediacy (1945-1955)" by Rhona Berenstein, she argues how commercialism enhanced by live tv was placed upon the public in subtle but impact ways. Television as a whole transformed what radio had begun, it brought the intimacy that radio held to a visual level.
