After I viewed the video "A SIMPLE ACT OF CARING CREATES AN ENDLESS RIPPLE THAT COMES BACK TO YOU –A HEARTWARMING COMMERICAL’.I have made a synopsis from the short film.

This is the simple yet powerful message of the short film. The must-see story tells us about a young man who decided to pay forward a stranger’s good deed — which remained in his heart and mind from the day it happened. This inspiring clip started with a little girl picking out a cake in a grocery store for her grandpa’s birthday, but due to lacking of money, she and her grandmother decided not to buy the cake.

The young man in the queue behind them witnessed the incident, so he randomly bought the cake for the little girl — remembering how it was decades ago when he was

Self-consciousness is the degree to which a person deliberately monitors and controls the image of the self that he or she projects to others. The young man shows the trait of self-consciousness as he realized that he is obliged to help that poor family whom do not have sufficient money to pay for the cake. In addition, I have also figured out another trait from this short film which is frugality. Frugality is the tendency to deny short-term purchases and to make due with what they already own. The old lady rejected the request of the little girl for buying the cake as she thinks that it is not necessary to spend that money and could spend it with somewhere more …show more content…
Always offer your helping hand to those in need and poor one. Be kind to others, it will pay off, I believe this phrase applies to all us. Hence, if I have the financial ability, I will donate some money or goods to the charitable organisation. Besides that , I have also learnt to be thrifty, do not spend money for granted and buy necessary goods indeed. Furthermore, I have learnt a lot from this phrase ‘a simple act of caring creates an endless ripple that comes back to you’ at which I have to pay back to those who did help me in every way regardless from financial or

“We find it easy to tread on and crush a Worm that we see crawling on the Earth; so ’tis easy for us to cut or singe a slender Thread that any Thing hangs by; thus easy is it for God when he pleases to cast his Enemies down to Hell,” (Edwards 5). In this context, Jonathan Edwards, a minister who wrote Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, is putting a fiery image into the minds of the Puritans who attended his sermon on the day of July 8th, 1741. At the time of the Great Awakening, there was a loss of faith directly related to the widespread use of science and theories. Edwards uses a fear-inducing tone to refuel a fire in the believers and turn them back into the arms of God. By using intense metaphors and other rhetorical devices, such as…

Often in sermans ministers pastors persuade their audience to behave in a spiritual or moral fashion. Such is the case in “sinner in the hands of an angry god” by Jonathon Edwards where he illustrated that the moral of the story is “if sinners repent, they won’t face the wrath of god” Edward using an convincing tone and wanted to have an impact on his audience by appealing to their fears, pity and Varity. Edward had an impact on his puritan’s audience because of convincing tone, clear imagery and clear figurative language. Foremost Edward is trying to show his audience to be cautionary of after life and that god can easily destroy his sinners who have done wrong and did not repent. SITHOAAG: Rhetorical Analysis Rough Draft Jonathan Edwards’ “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” captures the intensity of the Great Awakening. He implies during the sermon that if “natural men” don’t change their ways, they will undoubtedly endure the “wrath of God”. The ultimate goal of the sermon is to make us understand our situation and persuade the audience that all men are dependent on God for salvation through vivid imagery and by using accusatory diction and different rhetorical appeals. The quick pace of the address, tied together with the detailed imagery, plays a key role in persuading the audience.…

My overall goal in life is to wake up every morning and not dread going to work. I want to be able to face a new challenge, help others, and make a difference no matter how big or small. I want to take pride into what I do and not just think of my job as an action to survive. I believe it is difficult to do so in a scene where a good handful of people do not give you the full respect deserved. In the article “Congregation Gone Wild”, G. Jeffrey MacDonald claims that Congregations have shifted their way of approaching their audience in order to “sooth” churchgoers and keep them on their side.…

The last principle is that it is the heart that makes the gift count. If you decide to give then you need to will a heart. I learned that we should be able to give with love and the willingness to help further the kingdom of God. I also liked when Jeff said, “instead of finding reasons not to give, he looked for ways to be a joyful giver” (Anderson 83). I think this is something everybody should incorporate into their lives.…
