One short scene in a play can make an enormous impact on the rest of the play. Act 4, Scene 5 of The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet William Shakespeare does exactly that. Through preparing and presenting this scene, I was able to better understand both the scene and its’ importance to the play as a whole. This specific passage sheds light on both the reality behind many of the characters and their true feelings for Juliet, as well as the recurring theme of love.
