Acoustic Java was a space for conversations. Every person that walked into the space was looking to connect with friends, colleagues, partners, and strangers over a drink or a light meal. Acoustic Java is a small and intimate lace, but with little privacy. There were 6 or 7 mini round tables with two or three chairs per each one in the front corner of the room. The big windows that allow the sun to shine through made the room feel bigger. There are 5 tall round tables along the brick wall with two stools per each. The space was filled with the smell of food and music from the indie genre playing in the background. Even people who decided not to stay, ordered food together and shared conversations while waiting to take their food out. For example, two students walked in with their black backpacks on their shoulders and walked straight to the cashier to order food. They seemed like they were …show more content…
Most of them were Clarkies. A few of them I knew, some of them I saw around campus and some I have never seen before. Acoustic Java seems like it was more for the Clark students than the actual residents of the Main South. It has a very off campus café feel than the feel of a local café. Even the workers are college students. It is a small café that is close to Clark University. This is the only café that I know of in Main South, which happens to be near Clark. The atmosphere created a vibe that was for people who want to take a little study break, meet up with a few friends or get a quick coffee or tea. I thought that the decorations like the paintings on the brick wall would stand out more, but they did not. Also, they had written lyrics on the top portion of the wall that I did not notice until the end. Still I did not think twice to read every one of them.
