Hector shows his courage, in “The Trojan War”, when he tells his wife that he could not be a coward, “It was for him to fight always in the forefront of the battle...Dear one, be not so sorrowful. That which is fated must come to pass, but against my fate no man can kill me”(Hamilton 157). Knowing that Greece is a powerful opponent and he could not see his family once more he decide to refuse his wife offer to stay inside the protection of Troy’s walls, he makes the choice to go to war. After making the decision of staying alone outside troy's walls Achilles arrive searching revenge for his fall friends. After a deadly battle, Achilles kills Hector; moments before his death hector tell Achilles “Give back my body to my father and my mother.” “No prayers from you to me, you dog,” Achilles answered. “I would that I could make myself devour raw your flesh for the evil you have brought upon me” (Hamilton 160). After dying for the things that he honorable follows, Hector dies tragedy and still was given a bad treat by Achilles humiliated in front of his people, "hear me even in the house of Hades. I have dragged Hector behind my chariot and I will give him to the dogs..."(Hamilton 160).
