Achieving A Mindset To Pursue Life Goals.
Today in our modern society, people believe that there is a straight, long road for them to go through in order for them to be capable to achieve their life goals. However, people are blinded to see that each and every long road leads to having curves and dead ends. If society continues to believe that achieving goals is as easy as breathing, then mankind is going to start calling their goals a dream. Many people believe that there is a single road to take during the journey of life. This, however, is false. Nothing in life is guaranteed to be easy. The author is amused on how the weasel lives and wants to know more about him. She observes and analyzes how the weasel lives. “I tell you I've been in that weasel's brain for sixty seconds, and he was in mine.” (Dillard 3) Dillard wanted to share a piece of mind of what the weasel is thinking.

There are going to be scenarios in life where we have to face problems. This may lead to taking a different path in order to achieve your goal “Approach-avoidance conflicts." (Dillard 3) One of the best ways to approach a problem in life is to not make a bigger problem. Find a solution to the conflict. Another thing is that the only person who you are competing with is yourself. The people of the community should become a better person every day by overcoming obstacles and learning new life lessons.
