Among several other things that he had accomplished, Peter the Great was widely known for his reforms that were used to establish Russia as one great nation. Peter the Great created a strong navy, reorganized his army according to Western standards, secularized schools, administered greater control over the reactionary Orthodox Church, and introduced new administrative and territorial divisions of the country (Peter, 2015). He proved himself as a very effective leader, however, he Peter the Great was also known to be cruel and dictatorial. He was a man who receive everything he wished for and if he could not have something he would offer something that one could not refuse. He increased taxes with his reforms that led to revolts among citizens. While being an extremely tall man, Peter the Great drank excessively and accumulated violent tendencies. African Americans were never viewed as equal against a white men. In fact, the role in which many African American slaves tried to bring slavery to an end is often overlooked. The slave trade has mistreated and killed several innocent human beings that should have been guaranteed their basic human rights much like every other individual. These African slaves were traded and forced onto a ship under unhealthy and unbearable conditions. Not only this, they were separated from their families to live a life of hard labor and horrific punishments. As a society today, it is important to realize that all individuals should be treated equally. We should learn that it is wrong to mistreat others based on the color of the skin or the status in which they fall in. If this event did not occur, over 480,000 slaves would have never been mistreated or
