Acetone is used in nail polish remover. Nail polish remover is used to get nail polish off people’s nails. Without it, it would be extremely hard to wipe off the nail polish. When acetone is used for its intended purposes, it is considered safe, but for teenagers who purposely inhale its vapors, acetone can be very harmful.
