Accuplacer Research Paper

Decent Essays
When I was in tenth grade I applied to Cato Middle College High School. To get into Cato I needed to get a certain score on the college Accuplacer. Before I was accepted I went to take the Accuplacer test and to my dismay I did not do well enough to get enrolled in Cato. After failing that test I was devastated I lost my self-confidence it seemed as if nothing was going right. Before failing that test I felt like a very intelligent student, after not so much. I sunk into a depression and gave up on going to Cato. My parents and family encouraged me to try again and to not give up. After a while I stared to lighten up and finally found it in myself to try again. This time around I utilized all of my resources, buckled down, and studied hard.

As my high school years went on, I maintained my grades. I was taking notes, asking questions, and developing study skills; so that failure according to my standards would not occur again.…
