1. What do you think the question “does life have a meaning” means? In other words, if you asked that question of a friend, and they in return asked “what do you mean by that question? What exactly are you asking me?” how would you explain what you mean?
I think that the question means, is there a purpose for humans here. If I had to ask someone to explain it I would ask, “Do you think that we are here for something greater?” I may go a step further and say ask yourself, “why are we here?” It seems that a question like this is multifaceted in nature, so depending on the response I would want to hear it may vary.
What meaning, if any, do you believe life has? Explain why you believe that life has the meaning (or lack of meaning) that you describe.
For me, unlike popular belief find my rest and understanding in the teachings of Jesus Christ through the christian bible for “the meaning of life”. I have questioned the bible, “ran” from its teaching and continue to find answers the more I “ran.” I may not know everything, but that may not be my place. We have the choice to seek and pursue what ever it is. We as humans are always thirsting desiring for fulfillment and satisfaction, to only be let down time and time again. This being from materials or from relationships, idols, or religion. However, when I became a Christian a couple years ago and became baptized I found my self feeling that “meaning of life.” The old has passed and the new has come, I didn't embrace religion, but chose to become a Christ follower. I think there needs to have this separation, because the nominalization of christianity atleast here in the states, doesn't truly encapsolate what christianty really
