Health care system is one of the most important and continuously changing fields. There will always be sick people and there will always be need for skilled health care administers and medical personnel to assist patients. In order to better assist public, our government spends billions of dollars of tax money. According to Congressional Budget Office’s recent analysis, as of August 2015, projections for major health care programs for fiscal year 2015 are following:
Medicare-$541 billion
Medicaid-$350 billion
Exchange subsidies and related spending-$37 billion
Children’s health insurance program-$9 billion

Patients are subject of unnecessary and secondary tests, which leads to more money spending on each test and treatment. Additionally, more patients are being affected physically by the certain side effects of too many tests and treatments. The purpose of new Affordable Care Act (ACA) is to make the healthcare accessible, cost efficient and improve the quality of care. Therefore, I believe, in order to fix this systematic failure of the health care system and to prevent patients from being harmed physically and financially, first, there should be nationwide mandatory utilization of generalized health care IT systems among health care professionals, which will prevent from unnecessary double testing, over testing or excessive testing as well, as reducing the rates of possible mistakes. Second, there should be strong government mandated regulations and policies in medical ethics and medical practice, creating more collaborative network among physicians, pharmacist and other health care administrators and specialists, which should also involve patients in the process of decision
