Accomplishments are something everyone should be proud of. Showing children the importance of being proud of what they have done is a great way for them to gain confidence. The shows that children watch on television reflect on how they act. Shows that portray characters as confident have a more inspiring role in a child’s life. Encouraging a child to be confident with themselves will stay with them as they grow. It is important for children to understand the messages that the shows give off in a positive way. Being proud of what you have accomplished is one of the most important messages that the TV show Hey Arnold gave off in the episode that I watched. Harold and Patty are both entered into the city wide arm wrestling competition.

Upon enrolling in high school I realized that I could no longer put an average effort into easy class work and be rewarded with academic satisfaction. After joining the honors course along with band and the FFA, it was revealed to me that high school was a different culture than middle school. I quickly discovered that hard work would be required to be successful in everything I will ever do. Band demanded countless hours of practice, but I ultimately gained first chair in the top band, as well as squad leader over the trumpet section. Like band, the FFA required hours of dedication, but I distinguished myself from other FFA members.…
