Reference: Request for Reasonable Accommodation to Terminate a Housing Rental Agreement under the Fair Housing Act

On behalf of Ms. Janet Opperman and Nicholas Knight residing at the Meadowlark Hill Apartments, I am requesting a reasonable accommodation to terminate their rental agreement under the Fair Housing Act based on the protections of persons with disabilities.

Nicholas Knight’s limited mobility requires that he reside in an accessible housing unit that accommodates his use of a wheelchair. Because, Meadowlark Apartments does not have a unit available at this time, Ms. Opperman requests to terminate the lease effective May 30, 2017, without penalty, thus ensuring Nicholas Knight is not displaced from permeant housing.
