In Australia first fire brigade volunteer established in 1845 and member of this team tried to stop accidents. After that, there happened a lot accidents and occurred fire and resulted many people died and lose properties so government passed an act in 1890 and small groups of members joined together and made a big organization. On 1 may 1891 Melbourne fire brigade became top most organization and send their annual report. According to this report, there were 59 permanent firefighters, 229 auxiliary firefighters, 4 steam engines, 25 horse dawn hose, 58 hose reels, only 33 horses and 48 stations. They attended 816 phone calls and 485 fires happened and only 188 were serious.
