The event that will influence my academic success while I am enrolled at Colorado Christian

University is my future separation from the Air Force. I have chosen to pursue a career after my

separation that requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Without this degree I would not be

able to achieve this career which would ultimately lead to my failure after my separation. Noting that

preparation for my future is important there is only one thing that holds a higher value to me. Cost of

college is the most important contributing factor to my success because it is my biggest fear. Failure in

Preparation for this moment is a requirement, and academic success will provide the foundation

for my success after my separation. Obtaining my degree ensures that I will be capable of pursuing my

career I have planned for. Without academic success the future I have planned for myself will become a

dream. I have set goals for myself that are necessary for achieving academic success and ensuring that

my future will become reality instead of a dream. Preparation for life after the Air Force will provide the

motivation necessary for my academic prestige.

The most crucial reason for my success is the cost of college. It is no secret that attending

college is anything but cheap. Luckily, I have the opportunity to attend for close to free. I do not plan on

taking this blessing for granted. Failure in academics would not only mean that I cannot obtain my

degree, it also forces me to forfeit my opportunity to not pay for college out of pocket. I do not have the

luxury to fail in academics and forfeit this right. I will not allow this possibility to become a reality. The

cost of college is my greatest inspiration to excel in each and every one of my classes.

Preparation for my future and fear of failure will fuel my drive for academic success.
