Academic Success : Career Success Essay
The decision to start or continue ones academic success can be made at any level of your education, whether you are a student in middle school, high school, or an adult who has decided to attend college later in life. Making the decision to become or to be a better student can be easier said than done if one does not know where to start in making changes. While the definition of academic success is different for each individual, one would agree that the outcome of being a better student will be the same. When continuing academic success one should set educational goals, know you’re learning style, use the resources provided inside and outside your University, have academic integrity, and use the writing process to advance your education and career.
Once the decision has been made to continue academic success the next step is to set your educational goals. There are a number of benefits to setting goals for all aspects of life, goals give you direction, keep you focused, motivated, provides self-regulation, measures progress, holds you accountable and makes you strive to be the very best you can be. When setting a goal decide what it is that you want to achieve and be specific, for instance, instead of saying I want to get a degree in Information of Technology say; I plan to have an Associate’s degree in Information of Technology by 2017.
