I will make sure my academic plan works out for my college career, because I am very goal driven and I will not accept failure. Some of my strengths include being goal focused, having the drive to keep myself on task, and being brutally honest with myself by accepting and asking for help when I need too. Some areas that I need to work on include time management because I am working full time, staying focused on assignments that I see no interest in, and taking point during group projects so my potential group can stay on task and accomplish assignment. I think the two courses I will really like from my major would be GAM-207 Information Technology and Game Design and IT-340 Network and Telecomm Management. I know I am not very good at math and I am finding that even MAT-130 is challenging to me. I find asking my teacher is a great resource, but using the learning center helps to put a new perspective on the different problems. In addition to the learning center I also utilize the internet, sometimes I can find a video or website that helps break it down in to very simple terms that even I can understand. Lastly I guess practice is going to be big help, by trying problems over and over I can work on slowly grasping the concept at my own pace. Most of the other courses seem par for the course and while I am sure they will be challenging and insightful they don’t scare me nearly as much as …show more content…
I hope the plan I laid out in part two of our academic plan helps me to stay on track with what courses I need to take and any other courses that I need to take as a fall back plan in case a certain class might be full. As for personal, I can already tell you that being back in school has made me a better writer and has taught me new thing in a field I was already comfortable in.
