Academic integrity is the art of being honest, hardworking, respectful, trustworthy, and responsible. Basically, integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Doing my own work on a quiz that a teacher said I could take online at home shows integrity. This example shows that the teacher trusts me and knows that I am not going to cheat on the quiz. Having integrity means that I believe in the principles and standards of the environment that I am in. Also, it makes sure that my behavior is consistent with those principles and standards. In addition, academic integrity is important for a variety of reasons. First, it encourages me, to be honest with my work. It helps me earn my degree in a fair and honest way
