The purpose of knowing your goals can prepare for the future and what’s to come in the presence. This purpose paper will help me plan my personal, academic and career long-term goals. My personal purpose statement is to follow the road to success and enjoy my journey wherever life takes me. My personal goal is to be happy, healthy and achieving self-knowledge. My academic goals is a graduate in a career I’ll love and earn great academics each semester. My career goals are to be able to be employed in my career field and develop a broad range of skills.

The importance of this statement will allow me to stay on top of my work and gain greater opportunity and achievements in the future. My guidance counselor from Ocoee High School, Mrs. Jennifer M. Rogers, was there through my lows and highs and she continued to push me to do better which resulted in graduating on time with my class of twenty-sixteen. My best friend of thirteen years, Krishna Pierre, makes sure I’m on top of my game. We keep each other afloat by being one another big supporter which allowed us to keep reaching high and earn great academics. I’ll create a routine by managing time, planning and prioritizing my assignments. This goal relates to my assessment results because as an Achiever individual I’m able to take great satisfaction from working hard and being productive because at the end I’m earning great success. An obstacle I went through was failing FCAT and having to take A.C.T three times until I passed the English part with a score of twenty-four meeting the graduating requirements. I overcame this obstacle by being placed in a reading class with a teacher named Mrs. Stewart who helped me by reading passages and answering questions in an ACT workbook. The importance of this statement will allow me to put my degree to use and I’ll be able to add values to an organization resulting to a more proficient in my primary role. After college, one may not use their degree and settle for opportunities offered because it’s hard to find a job in the career field. But, My interviewee, Farah Pierre, informed me of ways to have similarities with my choice of careers such as internships, externships, and volunteer work, it’ll be easier to find a job. Also, furthering education to gain more knowledge while working can lead to higher position and as a great employee even promotion. One important example is improving performance and gain experience to grow in your position to get where you want to be. This goal relates to my assessment goals because as an Includer I’ll accept those around me which will I will Input individually to encourage them to follow their goals and gain more information on their career jobs.
