Academic Decorum Reflection
Expository Writing Academic Decorum is having good control in the classroom and behaving like I should around the teacher. Some examples of Academic Decorum are: coming to class prepared, turning in my work on time, respecting the teacher's rules, respecting my classmates and people around me, showing good behavior all the time, and having good manners. When I say push myself hard enough, I mean to push myself to study more, focus more on my school/homework, and work hard every 44 minutes of the class period. Also, I would like to improve on reading, and my STAR score. My goal for my reading level is 10.6 or higher. But, if I want that, I have to learn to work hard, and I have to listen to directions better. I will accomplish this by reading 20 minutes a day, even if I don't want to, focusing more on the goals I have set for this year, and focusing on school before volleyball or anything

Hamilton took me by surprise. I knew it was a small liberal arts college, but I had no grasp on how unique and genuine the community was. So many people said hi to my tour guide, Emily, as she showed me around -- including the line cook in the dining hall! I also heard how a student emailed 10 alumni to help her with something, and all of them replied to her. This kind of close-knit, loving family is what I want in a college experience.…
