Academic Accomplishment

I believe that admission to the SC Governor’s School will be a great accomplishment to enhance Kevin’s academic learning ability. Kevin is very intelligent, respectful, talented, competitive and dedicated to obtaining a well-rounded education. However, sometimes he is not as successful in achieving the highest grade possible in his classes. Growing up in an economically, disadvantaged, single-parent home has been difficult for Kevin. Our family, surroundings and economic circumstances are mentally challenging at times for him and my family. He has to encounter negative outside influences on a daily basis. He has suffered profoundly from the lack of involvement from his father. This hinders his intellectual stimulation to a certain degree. Kevin
