Whenever a certain subject lacks social support, and of course, with reciprocity between the media and the privileged with action, society is bombarded with news, reports, advertisements, which have the same objective, that is, to achieve the support of society. Large media outlets are concentrated in the hands of only few owners who, although they do not have the same power and influence of other times, still decide what kind of information which society should receive and which ones should not, even with no journalistic relevance or because they do not attract the interest of the consuming public. Thus, in order for the media to be able to contemplate the plurality of ideas or, as Jürgen Habermas has suggested, approaching to be a privileged mechanism of the public sphere that generates visibility for the demands of different groups, it is necessary that issues such as democratization of Means of communication, restriction of the cross-ownership of media vehicles, regulation of programming and encouraging the emergence of community radios.
