The hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (2008) tackles the abuse of power by the government and shows how the government uses this power to dominate over everything. The capitol which is the government of Panem is centralized, dictatorial and required complete subservience to the state. The people of panem try to reject this totalitarian regime and they revolt but the capitol defeat them. As a result, The Capitol imposes the hunger games. The hunger games are a death match between one male and one female between the age of twelve and eighteen. Those tributes are chosen randomly from each district. The tributes are sent to an arena to fight to death and the one who can survive will win the match and his/her district will rewarded with food and supplies.
