In “Abuela Invents the Zero”, Constancia runs from her grandmother and the fact she is related to her, later she learns she should care about her. An example from my life is when I did something that made my mother scared and I ran inside because I was afraid of getting yelled at, later I knew not to do something like that.
Tom had decided to run away as he thought nobody had loved him. “Tom’s mind was made up now. He was gloomy and desperate. He was a forsaken, friendless boy, he said: nobody loved him:” (Chapter 13, Page 123). His friends and family were ignoring or being mean to him, so he decided to run away. I had made my mother panic because I made her car alarm go off. I didn’t close a door all the way because later I wanted to go back in there. Once the alarm went off, i ran inside to avoid being yelled at. My mother ran outside to stop her car alarm and see why it was going off. Once she came back inside, she wanted to find out who did it. Race has been and always will be a subject that will have different opinions and ideas about it. Mark Twain uses his novel “Pudd’nhead Wilson” to express his thoughts on race in a variety of ways. There are some plausible reasons to believe that Twain thinks blood essentially defines a character. However, it seems as if he states these in a joking matter in many cases. Also, the idea of nature versus nurture is a key factor in identifying the views Mark Twain has on race and it seems to outweigh any thought that can point towards race being able to define character.…

The most important factor in why people choose to do something is based on the expectations they set for themselves or the expectations people create for them. This occurs because people aspire to be their best, or other people assume they are flawless because they wish to believe that everyone is perfect. In the stories "Little Women" and "Abuela Invents the Zero", it shows that people base their decisions off of what want themselves to be or what other people want them to be. For example, in the story the March sisters are hungry, but they still ask to "go and help carry the things to the poor children.…
