Abstinence is the most effective method for the prevention of HIV/AIDS/STDs for many reasons. Abstinence is when a person does not have sex, when two people decide not to have sex there is no way for the sperm to fertilize the egg which leads to no other possibility of pregnancy. Whether you practice abstinence your whole life or only part it is still a 100% effective way to prevent pregnancy. Even a person trys to use birth control it happens to fail occasionally. Abstinence protects against STDs, Avoiding all intimate contact including anal and oral sex is complete abstinence.

HIV- There has been no found cure to HIV so once you get the Virus you have it for life. There are ways to reduce the risks caused by HIV. Another long term effects
