At seventeen, her job experience is limited. For a short time she worked at a fireworks stand in Lake Hamilton. This was a summer job that required her to work for long hours in the blistering heat. As one of her closest friends, I would sometimes bring Alissa lunch. What I brought her ranged from pizza to mozzarella sticks, but she was grateful no matter what she received. Currently, Alissa is lacking in employment. She would like to work, however, and has applied at both Harps and Silver Screen Video. Once they start hiring, Alissa also plans on applying at Atwood’s. Her drive to find a place to work depicts Alissa’s work ethic, and shows that she does not easily give up on her goals. Alissa has plenty of room to learn.
