Abram was called a “father is exalted” before God changed him to be called Abraham (Gen. 17:5 NKJV), “father of multitude”. Abraham was the son of Terah, a pagan idolater, who lived at Ur of the Chaldeans in Mesopotamia, no biblical evidence that showed that his ancestors were the true worshippers of God. Abraham was called by God to live his family, his father’s house, and all his relatives to go to the unknown world (Gen. 12: 1 NKJV); he obeyed willingly and without any hesitation. God made a covenant with Abraham and promised him that he would made him a great nation, He would bless him, and he would be a blessing (v. 2 NKJV), He would gave his descendants the land Canaan (v. 7 NKJV), Abraham believed though he did not have a child of his own.
God blessed Abraham and Sarah with the son, Isaac, “the Son of promise” at their old age whom God told Abraham to sacrifice him, he also agreed without complaining that he is the only one whom God promised him (Gen. 22:2, 3 NKJV). Because of his faith, Abraham was called a friend of God, all these teach us that we cannot please God without faith (Heb. 11:6 NKJV). God is not interested in rules and rituals; He wants us to have a relationship of faith with Him. Faith is to obey things which you do not understand; by obeying things he did not understand, Abraham became the father of the nation Israel.

Abraham was saved by his faith, not by his works; so should teach us that we should have faith in God and live faithfully so that we can be saved. Most of us do lot of works in our churches but the time we come across trials and tribulations we forget that “nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:37

Many people looked at Abraham Lincoln and thought of him as the 16th President of the United States. In reality, he wanted people to see him, as he wrote in the opening of his letter to Jesse W. Fell, as “modest and not to go beyond the material. ”1 Lincoln wasn’t interested in what people thought he was, but more about how he wanted the public to see him. He conveyed the feeling that he was not anyone special and in fact an ordinary man. In the autobiographies of Abraham Lincoln, Lincoln illustrated the idea that he was one of common people and nothing more.…

Thus far in class I have learned a multitude of intriguing things. One of the most striking is that the oldest part of Bible is not the story of creation, but rather “the Song of Deborah”. This particular piece is about Deborah, who gathered Israelite tribes and united them in order to defeat the Canaanites at Mount Tabor. When attacking, the Canaanites became stuck in the mud due to the weight of their armor and supplies, which allowed the Israelites to come from the hills and slaughter them. This particular song is unusual because it is centered around Deborah, a woman, and the Lord, while the majority of victory hymns tend to revolve around men and God.…

The Abrahamic Covenant is referencing a tribe, where by the time God gives the Mosaic Covenant, the tribe has grown into a nation as was predicted in the Abrahamic Covenant. The Abrahamic Covenant is placed in the first chapter of the Bible, in the book of Genesis, and the Mosaic Covenant comes later in the second chapter of the Bible, in the book of Exodus. The Abrahamic Covenant is marked with signs with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. A sign with Abraham that males must be circumcised and the changing of Abrams and Sarai’s name. A sign with Isaac was the building of an altar and called on the name of the Lord.…
