In 1943, Abraham Maslow had introduced the Hierarchy of Needs Theory (Management Study Guide, n. d.). This theory is categorized into five levels, which are physiological needs, safety and security, social needs, esteem needs as well as self-actualization. Most of the time, it is showed as a hierarchical pyramid. According to The Peak Performance Centre (n. d.), it helps to motivate people to fulfill basic needs for rising life satisfaction. The most basic needs are placed at the lowest levels of the pyramid. On the other hands, the top of the pyramid is built up of the more intricate needs. The four lower levels are recognized deficiency or physiological needs while the top levels are known as growth needs. Prior to behavior can affected by …show more content…
These needs consist of the need for love, care, belongingness, affection as well as relationships with family and friends. These needs are got together through gratifying and satisfying relationships with others (The Peak Performance Centre, n. d.). A gratifying and satisfying relationship would indicate recognition by the others. People who need for love and belonging can search for relationships via having satisfied and fulfilled their basic physiological, safety and security needs. Based on the Pursuit of Happiness (2016), some of the investigations have presented that the cheeriest and healthiest people manage to be more implicated in their communities since family, friendships and social beings obtain people through the ups and downs of their life.
