After 20 years of being involved in full-time ministry, my marriage of 28 years ended in divorce. Living in another state, I found myself with no income or place to live; void of options, I sold what I had, moved to be near my children, and obtain a one room apartment. Buying a few thrift store furnishings, groceries, utilities, phone, and other bills, depleted my resources. Every area of my life and emotions, needed covenant relationships according to Abraham Maslow’s Need Hierarchy Theory and Edward Deci and Richard Regan’s Self-Determination Theory; each explains my needs based business motivations that were, physiological, for safety, for love, for esteem, for self-actualization, for competency, for autonomy, and for

Affirmations found in the workplace inundated my life with (PointeCast, 2017), “Covenant affirming individuals.” It was just what I needed. Every area of my life and emotions, needed covenant relationships and care, according to Abraham Maslow’s Need Hierarchy Theory and Edward Deci and Richard Ryan’s Self-Determination Theory. Each explains my needs based business motivations that were, physiological, for safety, for love, for esteem, for self-actualization, for competency, for autonomy, and for relatedness. Looking back makes me most grateful, as I continue to achieve and look forward. References
