People from the southern states disapproved of the “black republicans” unjust treatment. The people disliked the black republicans and would rather not listen to them. Lincoln observed that the ‘black republicans” sees African American people as low status, but they claimed they are just like everybody else. He questioned the people from the south to change their beliefs of the black republicans. He asked the people to wait patiently to see the positive changes and the north and south uniting. Lincoln observed that the black republicans’ treatment to the people of the south was unfair both to them and African Americans. He announced fair treatment and unity for both the people of the south and African Americans.
