The Gettysburg Address was written by Abraham Lincoln. The speech explained how that our founding fathers created the nation which was conceived in liberty, and it was dedicated to the proposition that all citizens are created equal. Now that men are engaged in a great civil war fighting battles that need to be fought. We have come to the point of war that our nations might live to see another day.

But, In a larger since we cannot dedicate we cannot consecrate but, we can hollow this ground. The brave men and women went out to war so that citizens they don’t even know could live to see another day. What the brave men and women did will never be forgotten. It is up to us the living to keep the memory alive.

It is rather for us to be here dedicated
