In 1860 Abraham Lincoln was elected and is now considered by many people to be our nation’s greatest president for his many accomplishments and his great leadership skills. He led our nation through its greatest domestic crisis, the civil war, he also helped with the effort to put an end to slavery. Which in my opinion does make him one of the greatest presidents. I believe he is one of the greatest presidents because he led our country through the civil war. This is significant because it is our greatest domestic crisis to date and his great leadership skills helped him do that.
