That is fine except you are thinking of super heroes. True heroes don’t have any special ability. This is pointed out quite clearly in Robert Ray’s “The Thematic Paradigm.” Ray also argues that movie heroes that are from an American background can be classified as either official heroes, outlaw heroes, or a combination of the two; this is known as a reluctant hero.…

However, if you go looking for a hero in Lincoln, you are likely to find one. He did not possess slaves like Washington, Jefferson, Madison, or Taylor. He did not directly evict a large number of indigenous people from their ancestral homelands as did Jackson, nor did he concoct a war with Mexico to seize, or at least secure, nearly a third of the United States like Polk. He was not born to wealth like the Roosevelts, the Kennedys, or Bushes and had no known marital infidelities like FDR, Eisenhower, or JFK. Instead, he was a surveyor of freedom and justice, a man of humblest beginnings, and a wielder of moral authority.…

All throughout the United States of America, you will come across many statues of great people, not only Americans but people who have in some way had a lasting effect on America for the better. There isn’t anything specific anyone has to do to be given such a great honor, in my opinion, of having yourself displayed as a statue because of the things you did, not only for yourself but for the people who look up to you for guidance and reassurance. He may have one of the greatest statues in the world with the Lincoln Memorial however, Abraham Lincoln in my eyes defiantly deserves to be honored at the highest possible level. Also you have Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who was a leader in the Civil Rights Movement. Although not every great person can be appreciated with a statue of themselves, those who do are some of the most influential people in regards to what they did.…
