Abraham Lincoln is one out of many presidents who is considered the best. Before he became a president he was a lawyer and was involved in the whig party. He also was apart of the House of Representatives. This gave him some background to follow his presidency. But there are some specifications that he should meet to be the best president. Lincoln should be able to keep in touch with society, act well in crisis situations, continue a strong army and be cable of showing respect to soldiers and all Americans.
It is very important for the public to know what is going on in the world. Especially if it is something that can change the world. Abraham Lincoln communication to society was very strong. He wrote an amazing speech to the public called the Gettysburg Address. These steps—the Sumter expedition, the call for volunteers, and the blockade—were the first important decisions of Lincoln as commander in chief of the army and navy. But he still needed a strategic plan and a command system for carrying it out” (Current, 2018). This shows that Abraham Lincoln’s logic was straight on during this time. He didn’t just make decisions based on other generals, he thought through his ideas and plans before acting on them. Which helped him successfully win the Civil
