Film Analysis: The Assassination Of Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln became the 16th President of the Unites States he was one of the greatest heroes due to both impact of his unique appeal. On January 1, 1863 he issued the Emancipation Proclamation abolishing slavery. In the year 1865, April 14 John Wilkes booth, a famous actor and confederate, fatally shot Abraham Lincoln at Ford’s theater. The attack came just days after General Lee surrendered his massive army Appomattox, Virginia, ending the American civil war. His death has been marked as a major event in American history and also the civil war. John booth was a well-known actor and for his family owning slave trade.

On the film you can feel the depression and sadness America was going thru at that time. The country was already in a bad situation after the Civil War they were trying to recover from the lust of a lot of American people who fought in the war. when the assassination happen the country became more affected because it was a great impact for the history of the country.
