Abraham Lincoln A Good President

Abraham Lincoln was born in Hodgenville, Kentucky grew up on the western frontier in Kentucky and Indiana, served for 8 years. He was an American politician and lawyer who served as the 16th President of the United States from March 1861 until April 1865 since of his assassination. Also led the US through the civil war, was the bloodiest war, he preserved the Union abolished slavery and modernized the economy. He became a leader in building the new Republican Party, gave a speech called the Gettysburg Address. This is why I believe Abraham Lincoln was the best President because the legacy he has made impacted the United States very much with slavery and our economy.

Also what makes him a great President is when he won re-election he just wanted to focus on bringing the country together, that he said in his Inaugural Speech. He has consisted of greatness in his type of character and moral as being a human, because not all people are good and he shows that he is a good person. He never takes credit for anything by himself, if people worked on it with him then he'll give them credit for it to. Which shows that he don't care for credibility he just wants to get the project done, to him it doesn't matter if he don't get credit just everyone involved. Also he was friendly with everyone he worked with, he was a friendly person to everyone even if it wasn't in return. Finally that's is what makes him great because he cared for what people had in mind and actually listened to the people he believed were worth listening to.

Finally Abraham Lincoln was a very good President because of all that he did and he was very good with his word, getting to people, and being nice to everyone. He ended slavery, he was good with people in the Civil War, and he was very good at talking to people and getting along with everyone including the people. Therefore he made a big legacy and impact on the United States is why I believe he is the best President that the United States has ever
