The discussion of William Shakespeare he is renowned for his knowledge of dramatic elements, his skill in crafting episodic plots, his verse and his complex characters. That is why he is the most influential writer in all of English literature. In Fact, Shakespeare might have been an over achiever because he did it all. He was his own stage manager, referring to “doing it all” because he put together his own work. Maybe that is why he was so good because he understood the technical elements of theatre. As well as being a writer and part of a dramatic company. In the book Living Theatre states “his plots in episodic form , are exemplary; his verse-especially in the power of his metaphors and the music of his language-is extraordinary; his characters are so well-rounded and so carefully detailed that they often seem like living people”. Regarding this, it goes into great detail the effort Shakespeare provokes into his work, almost as being raw material, in the form of “in the moment”. In my opinion, Shakespeare did not indulge his work with neoclassicist because of his strong urge of writing his stories as what he would observe from people, also what I keep referring to as “living in the moment”. Therefore, neoclassicist drama is predictable and logic over rules emotions, and in Shakespearean tragedies emotion over rules logic. And I believe he wanted to write about how a person who was going through so much would be thinking and acting. That is to say why he is known as one of the greatest writers of all time.
