Throughout life people face many decisions, but not all the decisions face are easy; therefore before judging someone on deciding to abort one should first take into consideration the reason behind their decision. When it comes to people making decisions, society has a tendency to frown upon whatever decisions are made. Whether one does something or doesn’t, there will always be critics. There is always an outside opinion that has little to no relevance to the situation at hand. There is always that outside source with the claim of knowing what the right choice is but, the right choice is the choice that best suits that one specific circumstance. Contrary to the common belief that if one doesn’t want to become pregnant, then they should have simply been more responsible, there are other possibilities. Not every aspect is that simple or even, controllable. In fact, “Each year, about 13,000 women have abortions because they became pregnant as a result of rape or incest.” If one was forced against their will, what control did they really have? They had their control, their choice taken from them. Also, when one experiences a traumatic event, such as rape, their mental state could be dramatically altered and could eventually lead to a lack in physical health. Both, are aspects that could impact the individual and their life greatly. Then, add a baby into the equation and there is not only one, but two major factors that could have perilous effects. Only one of which, the individual has any control over. With the dramatic alteration in personality, it would seem most logical for the individual to not have a constant reminder of the traumatic
