Abortion is referred to as “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed before the first 28 weeks of pregnancy”. It is also one of the most controversial debates in the country at the moment, and has been for a long time. The whole debacle started with the landmark Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade, which is the case that allowed abortions to be practiced. There are many reasons for why I, and many others, believe that they should be allowed. Our point of view is called Pro Choice. Prolife supporters use many arguments to try to deny that abortions should be allowed. Many of the arguments that they use are based in religion, but then there are others that actually have some meaning in the court of law. Some of the more relevant arguments are that the woman was having sex, and she knew the risks. She is now stuck with the consequences of her actions, and she shouldn’t be allowed to take the “easy way out”. Also, they say that adoption is a viable alternative to abortion, that abortions are murder, that the fetus has a “right to life”, that abortions are dangerous, and that the woman would eventually regret her choice. These are the arguments that I will be discussing in this paper. First of all, I would like to state why our country decided to allow abortions in the first place. Roe v.
