Lives matter, right? All lives matter, no matter what race, religion, etc. But surprisingly, there’s still a debate around this matter. Abortion has been a controversial topic for some time now. If you even try to mention it to anyone, they’ll stop listening after the first word. There are numerous reasons on why abortion should not be legal, but if I were to list them all, this paper would be 10 pages. Abortion is immoral and dangerous for many reasons; fetuses are living, breathing humans, mental and physical health reasons and morals, and the lies that you will hear. To start, fetuses are living, breathing human beings. There are seven characteristics of life; response to stimuli, growth and change, ability to reproduce, have a metabolism …show more content…
According to Health Research Funding, women who have had abortions are three times more likely to commit suicide than women who have not. They are 81% more likely to have mental health problems. Even worse, teens who have had abortions are ten times as likely to commit suicide than others. The physical well-being of the mother will not get better either after she kills her baby. There are so many dangers to abortion. Risks include, but are not limited to, a cut or torn cervix, a higher risk of death, pelvic inflammatory disease. Pelvic inflammatory disease is a disease where an infection caused usually by an abortion travels up the fallopian tubes and into the ovaries, which can impact future pregnancies or even possibly cause a women to be infertile. The mainstream media has taught us to be “loving” and “supportive” of women who have aborted their children. They will tell us it is “her body, her choice!” However, the baby is not part of her body. It has its own DNA, its own blood type, it comes from two humans, not one, and half of the time, the child is a boy. A girl doesn’t have XY chromosomes as “part of her body.” There have even been some cases where the baby’s blood type caused problems because it differed from the mother’s blood type. Something that’s part of “your body” wouldn’t have a different blood type, would it? Other times, you will hear “What about rape/incest?!” And yes, of course rape and incest are horrible and despicable things, but murder does not make these crimes disappear. There are even statistics that show that the reasons for abortions is rape/incest less than 1% of the time. Over 99% of all abortion cases are because of the irresponsibility of the mother and father. So why take the less than 1% and try to validate the other

Some abortions are done in order to save the child’s life; such as they wouldn’t survive past birth or wouldn’t have a fulfilling life. A woman named Julie was twenty weeks pregnant when she had an ultrasound done to identify the sex of her child. The doctors discovered that the baby’s brain ventricles were doubled in size. This meant that if the baby was carried to term, it would be developed at about the amount a two month old fetus would be. She chose to terminate the pregnancy, rather than risk having a premature baby and having to watch it either die or live in a hospital for months…

Besides the effects that it could have on the mother there are several moral reasons against abortion. Many do not believe that the baby is a baby until it is born, and so they do not believe that an abortion is wrong or that it is killing a baby. Most people who believe this are not Christians either and have no moral reason or any higher being that says it is wrong. And although they don’t believe this it is true and God says that abortions are wrong and that a baby is a baby at the point of conception.…

Planned Parenthood Should be Federally Funded There are many people who believe abortion is acceptable and that it is a womans right to an abortion. Additionally, many people think that the government should not have a say in whether a woman can receive an abortion or not. A woman’s body should be the responsiblity of that woman, not the government. If that woman makes a mistake, they have Planned Parenhood to look to.…

People argue about the foetus’ right to live, but are we putting the right of an organism that cannot survive on its own, over the woman who has to carry it? In 2015, 50% of adults in the U.S.A considered themselves ‘pro-choice’ and 46% ‘pro-life’. This is the biggest gap there has been. Abortions can be very emotionally taxing and are not cheap, costing NZD$350-500 in the first trimester or more depending the stage. Getting an abortion is not a choice a woman makes easily, but it is a choice she should be able to make.…

Since 1900, there have been a lot of laws that were set up for each state of the United States, which specify the anti-abortion; these laws are in the statute book. These laws were structured for many years, until the 1973 the Supreme Court invalidated all of these laws. Even the people that support abortions admit to this. Dr. Malcom Watts stated “ it has been necessary to separate the idea of abortion from the idea of killing, which continues to be socially abhorrent. The result has been a curios avoidance of the scientific fact, which everyone really knows, that human life begins at conception and is continuous until death.” Abortion should be illegal there are many reasons…

Abortions have been a huge debate since the 1900s, and it has recently been brought up by the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, who is pro-life or someone who is against abortions. There are two types of abortions in America according to Planned Parenthood- nonprofit organization centered around helping woman that are pregnant or looking to start a family- there are “in-clinic abortions and the abortion pill”; either one is the killing of an innocent human and are the reason why Abortions should be illegal. A great question to ask when doing this topic is when should abortions be accepted and when should they be stopped from happening?…

The Pro-Choice argument is that that women have rights over their own body and have the right to choose what they wish to do with their body. The Pro-Life argument that women do not deserve to have those rights which means they would be forced to go on with an unwanted pregnancy. Many people believe abortion is wrong because it is taking away a life, however abortion performed at an early stage in a pregnancy is not taking away a life. Therefore, abortion should be legalized throughout all states in the U.S., as women should have rights over their own body. Abortion history goes as far back as the 1800’s.…

Abortion is a huge problem that has caused a wide range of controversy all over the United States. There are two sides to the problem, which are people who oppose abortion or support it. Abortion becomes a big deal when trying to decide whether a fetus should be considered a human being already when a woman aborts. In my case I believe that a woman should not be able to abort a child inside her unless there is some type of serious medical issue where the child may not come out alive. When a woman aborts a child, they did not want, it is like the killing of another human being who had no say or ever did anything wrong to deserve it.…

Abortion may lead to future medical problems for the mother. They must take that into consideration when they are thinking about doing the procedure. You may not be able to have children in the future and you can have blood clots in the uterus. It causes extreme cramps and is usually discarded by repeated suction curettage. You can have an incomplete abortion which means the fetal parts or other products of the pregnancy may have not been completely removed for the uterus.…

Rich and Wagner (2016) argue state that in a 2004 survey on women who had abortions, 92% reported they had the procedure because of social reasons rather than medical reasons or sexual assault. The primary social reasons provided were “the timing being wrong for having a child, not being able to afford a baby, having relationship problems with the father, or not feeling mature enough to raise a child” (Rich and Wagner, 2016). Furthermore, abortion is used to escape responsibility and the consequences of a mistake. An unborn child should not be punished for the parent’s failure to realize the risk of pregnancy during sexual activity.…
